Job summary

VAP in Cebu City is seeking an experienced Australian Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers by preparing high-quality SOAs, ROAs, and supporting documentation. You will conduct strategic research and develop compliant financial planning solutions.

Ideal candidate has strong experience with Australian processes, Xplan, SMSFs, investments and regulatory knowledge, plus the ability to mentor junior paraplanners and manage multiple files with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Australian Paraplanner within an Australian financial planning practice.
• Strong experience preparing compliant SOAs, ROAs, and supporting documentation.
• Understanding of Australian financial planning regulatory environment.
• Experience using Xplan or similar software.
• Knowledge of superannuation, investments, insurance, and retirement planning strategies.
• Exposure to SMSFs, investment modelling, and complex strategies.
• Ability to review advice documents for quality and compliance.
• Familiarity with advice implementation processes and documentation.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Mentoring juniors or supporting compliance reviews is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SOAs, ROAs, and supporting financial planning documents.
• Conduct financial strategy, product, and legislative research.
• Develop financial modelling, cash flow projections, and retirement analysis.
• Support advice relating to superannuation, investments, SMSFs, and wealth management.
• Review client information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Perform quality and compliance reviews of documentation.
• Support implementation of advice by coordinating with stakeholders.
• Maintain client records and workflows in Xplan or other systems.
• Liaise with advisers, providers, and clients to progress outcomes.
• Stay current with Australian financial planning legislation and industry developments.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to improving quality and efficiency.
