Job summary

Two Connect seeks an experienced AU Senior Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll across Australian entities. This work-from-home role covers compliance with Modern Awards, superannuation and PAYG, with oversight of a 600–700-employee population across salaried, hourly and casual staff.

The successful candidate will drive process improvements, manage audits and provide expert advice to senior leadership while supervising the Payroll Officer and coordinating multi-entity payrolls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or related discipline.
• At least seven years of Australian payroll experience across multiple entities.
• Experience leading end-to-end Australian payroll across entities.
• Advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Fair Work.
• Strong Modern Award interpretation experience, hospitality or casualised workforces.
• Ability to monitor changes and translate to compliant payroll processes.
• Strong payroll accounting including reconciliations and journals.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end weekly payroll across multiple Australian entities; 600–700 employees.
• Review timesheets, leave, allowances, penalties, overtime, deductions, and terminations.
• Interpret Award requirements; ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and workers compensation.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement payroll updates.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare journals with double-entry accuracy.
• Produce payroll reports and insights for senior leadership; respond to executive matters.
• Supervise and coach Payroll Officer; drive process improvements and system use.
