Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce in Manila is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery while maintaining payroll records and coordinating changes.

Ideal candidates have hands-on NZ payroll experience, AU payroll exposure is a plus, and you will work with Finance, HRIS, and external providers to support APAC payroll operations in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing New Zealand payroll; Australian payroll a plus.
• Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and statutory leaves.
• Experience with payroll systems/HRIS (iPayroll, Xero, and/or Workday).
• Advanced Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll across APAC including NZ, AU, and PH.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, reconciliation, and month-end close.
• Provide responsive support on payroll queries.
• Maintain payroll data across HRIS and finance systems.
• Identify improvements to payroll processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Payroll, People & Culture, Finance, and external providers.
