Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an Accounts Officer to manage the accounts payable function in a remote work setting. You will handle supplier invoices, engage with internal and external queries, and support month-end close with accuracy and timeliness.

The role emphasizes financial controls, process improvement, and collaboration with the Finance Manager to ensure efficient vendor payments and reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• Handle accounts payable processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on invoice and payment queries.
• Assist month-end close and ensure proper documentation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Processing all supplier invoices for general business expenses.
• Processing EFT payment requests for office and trust accounts.
• Code disbursements and trust transactions in the accounting system.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for accounts payable and trust activity.
• Reconcile credit card expenses and liaise with employees for receipts.
• Assist with month-end processes and trust reporting.
• Assist with audits and variance analysis.
• Monitor the AP shared inbox and respond to inquiries.
• Handle general finance-related queries.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks.

Your Role

The Accounts Officer will mainly be responsible for the managing the accounts payable function, including being the main contact for any queries that may arise internally or externally relating to accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Processing all supplier invoices received for general business expenses
• Processing all matter-related EFT payment requests for both office account and trust account
• Coding of disbursements and trust transactions into practice management system
• Daily bank reconciliation for accounts payable and trust transaction
• Reconciliation of credit card expenses, including liaising with company employees to confirm credit card expense details/receipts
• Assistance with month end accounts processes, including trust reporting
• Assistance with audits and variance analysis
• Monitoring and actioning the Accounts Payable shared inbox
• Attending to general finance-related queries
• Any other ad hoc tasks that may arise to assist the Finance Manager
