Job summary

Market Performance Group (MPG) is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting in a remote offshore role. This role balances detailed accounting work with team leadership for 1–3 direct reports.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain results and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with US GAAP, financial close, and reconciliations.
• Experience supervising 1–3 staff in a remote environment.
• CPA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet analysis and investigate variances.
• Review statements for accuracy and align with policies.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and internal controls.
• Coach and develop accounting staff remotely.
• Support inventory costing and P&L processes where applicable.
