Job summary

Emapta is hiring an Accounting Manager to strengthen financial reporting, U.S. GAAP compliance, and accounting operations from a remote location in the Philippines.

You will lead month-end closes, supervise a team, and collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition for a global client base. You should have 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong NetSuite and Excel skills, and a proactive mindset toward process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply accounting guidance to recurring operational transactions
• Hands-on month-end close experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and general ledger reviews
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prepare accurate management reports, explain key performance drivers, and identify trends and risks
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a consistent ability to produce accurate, polished, and professionally presented deliverables

Responsibilities

• Own and support recurring accounting activities, including cash activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Lead the monthly close for assigned areas and ensure accurate, timely completion of reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and reviews.
• Review accounting work prepared by team members, resolve discrepancies, and provide clear direction to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with Operations on project setup and changes, invoicing data, billing support, and related accounting impacts to improve the completeness and accuracy of operational and financial information.
• Support invoicing and revenue processes by validating data inputs, identifying gaps, and collaborating across teams to resolve issues before they affect reporting.
• Own recurring management reporting, including financial packages, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and other deliverables for Finance and senior leadership.
• Analyze monthly financial results, identify trends and unusual activity, and communicate key drivers, risks, and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual and partially automated processes through practical technology, AI-enabled tools, reporting enhancements, and workflow automation.
• Support internal controls, audit requests, and documentation requirements by maintaining organized supporting records and reinforcing established processes.
