Job summary

Veremark Ltd. is a remote-first HR tech scale-up providing background checks and whistleblowing platforms. We seek an Accountant to own month-end close, GL maintenance, and intercompany reconciliations for a cluster of entities. This hands-on role partners with the FC&O Senior Manager and broader finance team.

You will manage journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll postings, AR/AP, tax filings, and statutory support across entities. A multi-entity, SaaS environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred or in progress.
• 5-7 years of accounting/finance ops experience with month-end close and GL management.
• Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to self-review.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines across entities/workstreams.
• Good communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet, ensure revenue/cost recognition, deliver close pack within 10 working days.
• General Ledger & Intercompany: maintain GL in Xero, process intercompany transactions, regular reconciliations, support consolidation.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: process vendor invoices, manage AR and aging, reconcile ledgers.
• Bank Reconciliations & Treasury: monthly bank reconciliations, cash data support for FP&A.
• Payroll Accounting: post payroll journals, allocate costs, reconcile payroll-related balances.
• Tax & Statutory Support: prepare tax schedules and statutory data, assist with audit queries.
• Day-to-Day Finance Ops: respond to finance queries, collaborate with Sales/Operations/HR, ad hoc reporting.
