Job summary

Cloud Accountant Staffing (CAS) is seeking an experienced Accountant to support international client accounts on a remote basis from the Philippines. You will manage full-cycle accounting for overseas clients, including AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close, with insights from variance analyses.

You will prepare financial statements, budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections, while ensuring payroll accuracy and process compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience serving clients abroad (public practice or industry).
• QuickBooks Online proficiency is required; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or Google Workspace/Excel is a plus.
• Both CPA and non-CPA professionals are welcome.
• Strong written and spoken English and client-facing experience are essential.
• Ownership mindset: organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage several clients without sacrificing accuracy.
• Comfort with a night shift that aligns with North American business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for clients abroad: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for small and mid-sized clients.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately and on time, with proper approvals and deductions.
• Standardize checklists, SOPs, and close calendars; spot opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients abroad — join calls, translate financials into plain English, and flag risks and opportunities.
• Keep documentation audit-ready and records clean and organized.
