Job summary

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in Manila seeks a Reinsurance Associate to support placement, administration, and servicing of reinsurance programs for clients.

You will ensure accurate processing of reinsurance transactions and build strong relationships with reinsurers and brokers. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with solid knowledge of reinsurance concepts, attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in reinsurance or insurance.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance concepts, processes, and documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with reinsurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, placement, and renewal of reinsurance contracts.
• Process policy documentation, endorsements, and bordereaux accurately and promptly.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of underwriting and claims data.
• Provide timely support to brokers, clients, and reinsurers.
• Coordinate with Finance, Claims, and Client Servicing for seamless service delivery.
• Address inquiries and resolve issues professionally; collaborate on market analysis.

About the Role

We are seeking a Reinsurance Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the placement, administration, and servicing of reinsurance programs for our clients. You will ensure accurate processing of reinsurance transactions, foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (including reinsurers and brokers), and contribute to delivering high-quality client service aligned with Gallagher's standards.

Key responsibilities

Reinsurance Administration & Processing

• Assist in the preparation, placement, and renewal of reinsurance contracts
• Process policy documentation, endorsements, and bordereaux accurately and within agreed timelines
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of underwriting and claims data

Client & Stakeholder Support

• Provide timely support to brokers, clients, and reinsurers regarding reinsurance arrangements
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Claims, and Client Servicing) to ensure seamless service delivery
• Address inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner
• Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to develop business strategies, source new opportunities, and improve business approaches through market analysis.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of reinsurance transactions and documentation
• Prepare regular reports, summaries, and reconciliations as required by stakeholders
• Support data analysis to identify trends and potential improvements

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Assist in audit requirements and ensure proper documentation is maintained

We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in reinsurance or insurance
• Strong understanding of reinsurance concepts, processes, and documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel); familiarity with reinsurance systems is an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and commitment to delivering quality service
