Job summary

Pagasa Philippines Finance Corporation is seeking an Area Manager to oversee 4–6 branches in the assigned area, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, portfolio quality and achievement of business targets through coaching and performance management.

The role requires regular branch monitoring, supervision of Branch Managers, branch visits, and review of reports to address issues. Travel and strong leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in branch operations, microfinance, banking, or financial services with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of branch operations, financial controls, portfolio management and compliance procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and business reporting.
• Willing to travel extensively for regular field visits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the operations of 4–6 branches, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct branch visits at least twice per month, including two consecutive days per visit.
• Monitor Branch Managers' performance and implement action plans for any issues.
• Review DO reports, identify irregularities, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Validate and approve newly formed borrower groups and ensure balanced distribution among DOs.
• Monitor weekly/monthly branch performance and drive strategies to meet targets.
• Visit 3–5 past-due borrowers per branch visit to assess collections and plan actions.
• Follow up on delinquent accounts and provide guidance on collection strategies.
• Monitor legal cases and issue demand letters as needed.
• Ensure COH stays within limits and deposits are made on time; maintain secure storage.
• Coordinate fund transfers with Head Office and manage bank relationships.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports; escalate significant concerns to Divisional Manager.
