• Perform background and reference checks and verify sea service history with previous agencies/owners.
• Verify licenses and STCW endorsements with regulatory authorities.
• Ensure candidates meet medical fitness, visa, and flag state requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready digital records for all candidates.

About the role

This role involves talent sourcing, candidate screening, and compliance management for maritime personnel across deck, engine, and catering departments for various vessel types including Bulk Carriers, Tankers, Container ships, and Offshore vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Actively source and pool qualified candidates across deck, engine, and catering departments for various vessel types
• Manage specialized talent platforms, maritime job portals, social media channels, and walk-in applicant channels
• Maintain an updated, ready-for-deployment database of vetted seafarers to satisfy urgent vessel vacancies and rotation schedules
• Review resumes, Seaman's Books (SIRB/SID), and sea service records to verify candidate experience and tenure
• Conduct initial interviews, technical screenings, and pre-employment evaluations
• Perform thorough background checks, reference checks, and verify previous sea service history with former manning agencies or ship owners
• Authenticate mandatory seafaring licenses, Certificates of Competency (COC), Certificates of Proficiency (COP), and STCW training endorsements with regulatory authorities
• Ensure candidates satisfy principal-specific requirements, medical fitness standards (PEME), and visa/flag state requirements
• Maintain 201 files and audit-ready digital records for all candidates
