Job Summary
The Recruitment Officer will play a vital role in the sourcing, screening, and initial processing of seafarer applications. This position will support the recruitment team in ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified candidates to meet the crewing needs of our partner shipping companies. Responsibilities
Sourcing and Application Management:
- Assist in posting job vacancies on various online platforms, job boards, and social media channels relevant to seafarers.
- Receive, organize, and acknowledge seafarer applications and inquiries.
- Maintain and update the applicant database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Assist in initial screening of applications based on basic requirements and qualifications.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for potential applicants, addressing their inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate with applicants regarding application status, document submissions, and interview schedules.
- Assist in scheduling interviews (online and in-person) and other recruitment-related activities.
- Communicate effectively with the recruitment team and other internal departments.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Assist in the collection and verification of necessary seafarer documents (e.g., licenses, certifications, passports).
- Ensure all applicant information and documents are handled with confidentiality and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of recruitment reports and other administrative tasks as needed.
Support to Recruitment Team:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Recruitment Manager and other recruitment staff.
- Assist in organizing recruitment events and job fairs, as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or any related field.
- At least 3 years related experience gained from the maritime industry.
- Strong interest in the maritime industry and working with seafarers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Filipino.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong administrative and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong sense of professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Familiarity with online recruitment platforms and social media is an advantage.
