Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation in Davao City is seeking a Plant Operator to manage safe and efficient production in our chemical processing unit. You will charge raw materials, start and monitor batch reactions, and ensure procedures are followed to maintain product quality.

The role requires physical fitness, ability to work in shifts, and strict adherence to safety rules. You will document batch data and coordinate with the lab to meet specifications, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High School/Senior High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate.
• Ability to perform manual tasks such as material charging, and loading/unloading of raw materials.
• Capable of following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately.
• Basic understanding of process or production documentation.
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and in a plant/industrial environment.
• Physically fit and able to work under varying plant conditions.

Responsibilities

• Charge raw materials into the reactor.
• Start, monitor, and control batch reactions (temperature, pressure, mixing, time).
• Follow SOPs for each batch.
• Ensure product meets CME/biodiesel specifications in coordination with laboratory.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues.
• Record batch data (materials, conditions, yields, issues).
• Follow plant safety rules and chemical handling procedures.
