Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking an Environmental Officer for its Malolos to Clark Railway Project in Clark, Pampanga, Philippines. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with environmental laws, conducting inspections, and coordinating EMS activities on site.

The officer will prepare reports, train staff, and collaborate with engineers and contractors to uphold environmental standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Civil).
• DENR-EMB Accredited PCO preferred, Category B.
• 2+ years of experience as a PCO preferred.
• Experience handling or monitoring wastewater.
• Knowledge of Self-Monitoring Reports and Compliance Monitoring Reports.
• Familiar with environmental laws including PD1586, RA6969, RA9003, RA8749, RA9275, and ADB/CDC.
• ISO14001 EMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and site observations, document findings, prepare inspection reports, and monitor corrective actions.
• Conduct environmental orientations for new hires and other personnel.
• Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors to ensure EMS compliance.
• Prepare and submit Self-Monitoring Reports (SMRs) and Compliance Monitoring Reports (CMRs).
• Assist in environmental permit applications and renewals.
• Maintain environmental records and monitoring results.
