Qualifications

About the role

The Radiology Department Manager ensures accurate and timely management of radiologic services to the client. The role oversees daily operations, manages staff, and plans strategic initiatives for medical imaging services. They ensure efficient, high-quality patient care while adhering to safety regulations, managing budgets, and overseeing equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of administrative and operational policies, procedures, and regulations

• Notes trends and observations within the Radiology department and consults with the Associate Director for Ancillary Services

• Ensures the efficiency of day-to-day processes of the Radiology unit and makes recommendations and proposals to the Associate Director for Ancillary Services

• Ensures the safety and well-being of all staff through the implementation and proposal of relevant infection control, emergency response, and other pertinent policies

• Prepares strategic planning and presentation of the annual operating plan of the Department

• Monitors monthly strategic and financial goals and ensures compliance

• Coordinates the purchase of supplies and equipment and makes recommendations concerning the department's operating budget

• Oversees staff in the operation of Radiology equipment, medication, and all related materials and equipment

• Reviews work schedule and assigns duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals

• Ensures timely performance evaluation review for all radiology personnel

About you

• Registered Radiologic Technologist

• 3 to 5 years of experience related to duties and responsibilities

• Certified to operate machines available in Radiology/Auxiliary

• Proficient in using radiology equipment and software

• Familiar with the primary functions and procedures of the Radiology Unit

• Able to apply direct nursing care to patients and utilize this for providing excellent customer service

• Excellent communications and interpersonal relations

• Preferably with strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to manage staff and collaborate with physicians
