Responsibilities

About the role

The Chief Radiologic Technologist is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Radiology Section, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role provides leadership, supervision, and technical expertise while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and radiation safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Radiology Section, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate radiologic technologists and support staff.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and quality control of radiologic equipment.
• Implement and monitor radiation safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and coverage for all radiology services.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, DOH regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to radiology services.
• Stay updated on new radiology modalities, technologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and hospital management to improve service delivery.

About you

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist
• At least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a Radiology Department.
• Strong knowledge of radiology section operations and workflows.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and supervisory skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Physically and mentally fit to perform job duties.
• Demonstrates good moral character, professionalism, and a constructive attitude.
• Master's Degree or formal training in specialty areas (preferred)
