Job summary

Central Luzon Doctors' Hospital in the Philippines is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures and ensure patient safety. You will coordinate examinations with doctors and nurses, prepare patients, and verify instructions.

Responsibilities include preparing oral contrast, operating MRI, CT, mammography and ultrasound equipment, processing films, and delivering results to radiologists, while upholding radiation-protection standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required and PRC registration is preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience in radiology is preferred.
• PRC license must be valid.

• Validates doctors’ instructions and patient requests for examination types and coordinates preparation with the patient and nurse on duty.
• Provides briefing and orientation to out-patients on preparation required for radiologic examinations.
• Prepares oral contrast for use in radiologic procedures.
• Performs radiologic procedures such as MRI, CT scan, mammography, and ultrasound.
• Ensures preventive measures to protect relatives of patients from radiation hazards.
• Processes exposed films, checks radiographs, and submits outputs for radiologist interpretation.
• Records and releases results of examinations with proper authorization; retrieves films and examination results from doctors and hospital staff.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Validates doctors’ instructions and/or patient’s requests on the type of examination to be done; sets schedules and coordinates preparation for examinations to be conducted with the patient and the Nurse on duty.

• Provides briefing and orientation to out-patients on the preparation required for radiologic examinations that they will undergo.

• Prepares oral contrast to be used in the course of radiologic procedures.

• Performs radiologic procedures such as MRI, CT scan, mammography, and ultrasound.

• Ensure that preventive measures are undertaken to prevent assisting relatives of patients from being exposed to hazards of radiation.

  Processes exposed films, checks the radiograph, and submits outputs for the interpretation of the Radiologist.

  Records and releases results of examinations conducted on the basis of proper authorization; retrieves films and examination results from doctors and hospital staff who borrowed the same.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably with at least one (1) year of work experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology

• Registered and with valid PRC license.
