Job summary

Southwestern University Medical Center is seeking a project-based Radiologic Technologist to join our hospital team in Cebu City. The role involves operating imaging equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality radiographic examinations in a clinical setting.

The successful candidate must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with a valid PRC license and have competency in QA/QC within medical imaging. General Radiology experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist with valid PRC license.
• Competency in QA and QC in medical imaging.
• General Radiology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and position patients; determine exposure factors.
• Process films and evaluate radiographs for technical quality.
• Receive requests, explain procedures, and prep patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams.
• Operate conventional and special equipment for X-ray examinations.
• Operate portable C-arm in the Operating Room.
• Assess patient understanding and obtain informed consent for invasive procedures.
• Determine suitable postures and shielding for patients.
• Ensure patient safety and minimize hazards from electricity, burns, and radiation.
• Gather prior exam records or medical history.
• Be familiar with local fire and safety regulations.

Job description

Southwestern University Medical Center is looking for a competent PROJECT-BASED RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST.

General Job Responsibilities as a Radiologic Technologist:

• Perform professional services, as us, but not limited to the following: (1) Operate imaging equipment and other devices as appropriate, (2) Position patients and provide mobilization as necessary, (3) Determine or calculate exposure factors, process films and evaluate radiograph for technical quality, (4) Receives patient’s examination request, explain method of procedures, instruct and prepares patients for radiographic and or fluoroscopic examinations.

• Operates conventional and special equipment for the purpose of performing x-ray examinations.

• Operates the portable C-arm machine inside the Operating Room.

• Assesses patient’s understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures.

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture, positions and shields patients accordingly.

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.

• Gathers record of previous examination or medical history.

• Must be acquainted with local fire and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• A Registered Radiologic Technologist with valid PRC License

• Must have competency in components of quality assurance and quality control in medical imaging.

• With experience in General Radiology is preferred but not required

• Possesses high ethical standards
