Overview

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, and other radiographic exams, as directed by physicians. This role ensures the safety and comfort of patients while adhering to established radiology protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and positioning patients appropriately.
  • Imaging Procedures: Operate radiologic equipment (e.g., X-ray, CT, MRI) to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Image Review: Ensure images are of sufficient quality for diagnostic purposes and repeat procedures as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain radiation protection standards for both patients and staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, medical history, and any relevant information for physician review.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment.
  • Emergency Situations: Assist in emergency situations, providing imaging support for trauma and critical patients as required.
  • Sterilization and Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of imaging equipment and work areas.
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care by offering comfort, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the imaging process.
