Job summary

Nestlé is seeking an R2R Accounting Operations Lead for North America, based in Meycauayan, Philippines. You will manage accounting operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and lead a team to deliver timely financial services.

The role requires driving process improvements and LEAN initiatives across the function. You will partner with market CFOs, auditors, and shared services to meet standards and support continuous development of the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in accounting operations and shared services.
• Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or specialist role.
• Experience leading teams and managing projects.
• Strong financial reporting and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of best practices in Record to Report (R2R) processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounting Operations team to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
• Supervise accounting supervisors and specialists, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee key accounting processes, including: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Group Accounting, Bank Reconciliation, Period End Close, Reporting.
• Implement process improvements, automation, and LEAN initiatives.
• Develop and coach team members for future roles within Nestlé.
• Ensure compliance with audit guidelines and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, including market CFOs, auditors, and shared services teams.

About The Role

As the R2R Accounting Operations Lead for North America, you will manage and oversee accounting operations for North American markets. You’ll ensure that financial records are accurate, compliant with Nestlé and local policies, and delivered on time. You’ll also lead a team, drive process improvements, and make sure our services meet agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounting Operations team to achieve goals and meet deadlines.


• Supervise accounting supervisors and specialists, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.


• Oversee key accounting processes, including:


• General Ledger: Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.


• Fixed Assets: Manage asset accounting and inventory coordination.


• Inter-Group Accounting: Resolve reconciliation items and prepare reports.


• Bank Reconciliation: Ensure statements are uploaded and variances resolved.


• Period End Close: Execute closing activities as scheduled.


• Reporting: Submit required and ad hoc reports within deadlines.


• Implement process improvements, automation, and LEAN initiatives.
