Job summary

Sta. Clara International Corp. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to perform accurate measurements of construction works for billing and claims.

The role requires knowledge of contract terms, payment measurements, and preparation of quantity surveys and cost estimates. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, with 3–5 years of experience; licensure is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Being licensed is an advantage.
• Has 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the terms and conditions of the project's contract.
• Maintains knowledge of the payment terms/measurement of payment as specified in the contract documents.
• Prepares quantity take-off of works done for the project's progress billings.
• Facilitates the seeking of client's approval of the progress billing before forwarding it to central office for evaluation.
• Identifies and measures activities such as variations, extra-works, etc., that can be claimed as additional payment.
• Prepares various quantity surveying documents including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, bill of quantities for all disciplines and cost estimates.
• Prepares evaluations/cost projections of the assignment to meet requirements of works in progress.
• Inspects site for collation of information for monthly progress billing, statement of claims/anticipated claims and assessment of costs of works and expected final cost.
• Performs cost analysis and draw up reports on changes to works.
• Preparation/submission of the final account of project.
• Initiates the preparation and compliance of the close-out documentation of the project/contract (i.e. for the Client and SCIC's copy)
• Establishment of the lessons learned on the on-set of the project or to ensure recording/documenting upon boarding.
• Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
