Job summary

ArchEn Technologies, Inc. in Pasay City seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from mobilization to completion, including cost estimation, billing, and cost control to safeguard profitability.

You will perform detailed quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, develop DUPAs, monitor expenditures, prepare monthly progress billings, and handle variation orders and subcontractor cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed engineer is an advantage, but not required.
• 2–3 years of construction experience, contractor side preferred.
• Experience in quantity surveying and billing on site.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Professional License:

Licensed Engineer is an advantage, but not required.

Work Experience:

• At least 2–3 years of experience in construction (contractor side preferred).
• Experience in actual site-based quantity surveying and billing.
• Experience in vertical (buildings) or horizontal (roads, drainage) projects.
• Familiarity with DPWH standards and costing (for government projects).
• Experience in claims and contract administration.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Technical Competencies: Proficient in quantity take-offs, DUPA, progress billing, cost control, budget forecasting, Variation Orders (VOs), BOQ preparation, construction drawings, advanced Excel, and QS tools (Planswift, AutoCAD).
• Behavioral Competencies: Detail-oriented and analytical mindset focused on project profitability, assertive in protecting financial interests, with strong communication skills to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Location Requirement:

Must be willing to work full-time on-site at Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Job Summary:

The Quantity Surveyor is the one responsible for managing project costs from mobilization to project completion. Handles quantity take-offs, cost estimation, billing, and cost control to ensure profitability of construction projects. QS prepares Detailed Unit Price Analysis (DUPA), monitors project expenditures, and ensures all works are properly measured, documented, and billed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executing Quantity Take-Offs and Project Costing: Perform detailed quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, prepare project cost estimates, validate quantities against specifications, and identify scope gaps and potential cost impacts.
• Developing Unit Price Analyses and Budgets: Prepare Detailed Unit Price Analyses (DUPA) for major work items, establish internal project budgets, and update unit costs based on site conditions and market prices.
• Controlling and Monitoring Project Costs: Track actual costs against budgets, control material and labor wastage, identify cost overruns, and deliver regular cost status reports and forecasts.
• Managing Progress Billing and Revenue Generation: Prepare monthly progress billings based on verified site accomplishments, coordinate approvals, and maximize revenue through accurate measurement.
• Administering Variation Orders and Claims: Identify, quantify, and process Variation Orders (VOs) and change orders with complete documentation to protect company financial interests.
• Managing Subcontractor Costs: Evaluate subcontractor proposals, prepare cost-related agreements, verify accomplishment billings, and enforce budget compliance.
• Coordinating and Reporting Project Financials: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to provide cost advice, report budget variances, and support bidding.
• Performing Additional Duties: Execute other job-related tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.
