Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
• Inspect surface treatments such as galvanising and powder coating.
• Read drawings and specifications to understand requirements for parts and assemblies.
• Measure dimensions and perform tests to confirm conformity with specs.
• Verify production status and flag quality issues with timely solutions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and company specifications.
• Document inspection results and generate batch/lot records.

Job description

a. Critical Competency

• Being able to communicate fluent in Filipino & English, both written and verbal

• Expert knowledge in understanding and interpreting of manufacturing drawings with respect to, but not limited to linear, angular, radial and ordinate dimensions as well as their respective tolerances as well as common surface, weld and other symbols.

• strong knowledge and experience in using measuring equipment such as, but not limited calipers, micrometers, protractors and other inspection instruments and equipment

• Must be familiar in metal fabrication processes

• Keen attention to details and accuracy

• Clear reporting of issues and collaboration with other departments

• Ability to identify root causes of defects and propose solutions

b. Required Education & Experience

• Degree of Mechanical Engineering or tertiary equivalent course, Mechanic, Mechanical Technician

• With at least 5 years of experience as a QC Inspector within a manufacturing and or metal fabrication environment

• Strong experience in inspecting single parts and metal assemblies such as but not limited to welded assemblies, bended assembles and/or equivalent

• Experience in inspecting powder coated parts

• Knowledge in understanding of critical and functional dimension as basis for quality assessments.

c. Main Tasks & Responsibility

• Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process parts (metal fabricated), and finished products.

• Inspect and assess surface treatments (e.g. galvanising, powder coating, etc.)

• Read product drawings and other specifications to understand the requirement of single parts assemblies and final products

• Measure parts and product dimensions, perform testing and functionality checks to assess conformity of part or finished product to the set specifications

• Verify material or product status in the production to confirm any quality issue or potential non-conformances and recommend timely solutions

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and company specifications

• Identify and recommend solutions for quality issues, contributing to process improvement

• Generate batch or lot records and other quality records by documenting the results of inspection and testing
