Job summary

APEM Philippines is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure materials and finished products meet drawing-based specifications through visual and dimensional tests. This role supports fabrication processes and maintains accurate records in the quality database.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in metal fabrication, fundamental reading of drawings, and a high attention to detail. Physical work includes standing and lifting in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret quality control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specs and performing visual and measurement tests.
• Approve in-process production by confirming specs per client drawings and communicating adjustments.
• Ensure job travelers reflect updated revisions.
• Assist fabricators with other production processes.
• Take photos of outgoing jobs for reference.
• Approve finished products by specs and rework when needed.
• Fit each item to verify 100% quality.
• Document inspection results in the quality database.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment per standards.
• Follow PPE and safe work practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications based on client drawings, conducting visual and measurement test, communicating required adjustments to Production Supervisor.
• Making sure that drawings attached in the Job travellers are based on new / updated revisions.
• Assist fabricators for other production processes.
• Taking photos of out-going jobs every shipment to file as reference.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications and returning products for re-work.
• Conduct fitting on each item to make sure 100% quality.
• Documents inspection results and enters data in quality Database.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Follow all safe work practices, including proper wearing of PPE.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Qualification

Education

Minimum College level, and/or relevant Mechanical Engineering background.

Experience

At least 1 year experience in metal fabrication industry.

Knowledge and Skills

• Able to read and interpret quality control drawings.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in the usage of measuring, testing and quality checking tools.

Required Certifications

Any relevant certificate related to the job position.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, lifting and carrying heavy materials, and working in a manufacturing/production environment.
