Job summary

Axelum Resources Corp. in Medina, Misamis Oriental, is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our quality assurance operations, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across production.

You will supervise QA activities, manage audits, CAPA, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to uphold product quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related science.
• 3–5 years in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Food Safety in manufacturing.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, GMP, HACCP, FSMS, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with internal audits, RCA, CAPA, and CI.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Lean Six Sigma and CI methodologies.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations and quality testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with established quality standards and food safety requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS), GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
• Conduct investigations on product quality issues, non-conformances, customer complaints, and implement CAPA.
• Monitor quality performance indicators and analyze trends for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections while ensuring audit readiness.
• Review and approve quality records, reports, procedures, and documentation to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
• Lead root cause analysis and quality improvement projects to minimize defects and enhance process capability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Quality Assurance personnel.
• Promote a culture of quality, food safety, and continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for supervising quality assurance activities, maintaining compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold product quality and operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive experience in quality systems within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biology, or other related science courses.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Food Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), GMP, HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience in conducting internal audits, root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and process improvement with the ability to drive operational excellence and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations, quality testing, statistical analysis, and quality performance metrics is an advantage.
• Experience in the coconut processing or coconut manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality documentation systems.
• Willing to work in a plant-based environment in Medina, Misamis Oriental.
