Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or QA.
• 2–3 years hands-on QA/QC or food safety experience in manufacturing.
• Familiar with HACCP, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Develop and maintain quality control procedures and records.
• Perform sensory, microbial, and chemical analyses with lab methods.
• Monitor quality metrics and identify trends for corrective actions.
• Investigate defects, determine root causes, and implement CAPA.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join Sangkutsa Food Products Inc. in Tarlac City, Tarlac. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety across our food manufacturing operations. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. This position is essential to protecting consumer safety, maintaining brand reputation, and supporting the company's commitment to excellence in food production.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and food safety standards
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, protocols, and documentation systems across manufacturing processes
• Perform sensory evaluations, microbial testing, and chemical analysis of food products using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques
• Monitor and record quality metrics, identifying trends and potential areas of concern that require corrective action
• Investigate product defects and non-conformances, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies including HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation and records for traceability and audit purposes
• Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and relevant stakeholders
• Support internal and external audits, including third-party certifications and customer quality assessments
• Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and proper handling procedures

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance, quality control, or food safety within a manufacturing or food production environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, ISO 9001, and relevant regulatory requirements for food manufacturing
• Proficiency in laboratory testing methods, microbial analysis, and basic chemical testing procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and analyse quality data
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate issues systematically and implement effective solutions
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software or systems
• Certification in Food Safety, HACCP, or ISO 9001 is highly desirable
• Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to various temperatures and handling of products
