Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is assisting a well-established steel manufacturing and heavy fabrication group to find a Quality Assurance Manager. You will lead QA/QC programs, oversee inspections, and drive continuous improvement across production and engineering teams.

The role requires 10+ years in QA/QC within steel or metal fabrication, with strong knowledge of ASTM/AWS/JIS/ISO codes and a track record in RCFA. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, materials science, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of QA/QC experience in steel manufacturing, metal processing, or heavy industrial fabrication.
• Proven experience implementing QA programs, statistical process control (SPC), material testing, and RCFA.
• Strong knowledge of steel industry standards, structural testing codes, and quality compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple QA functions and plant inspections within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance programs, testing standards, and control processes aligned with steel manufacturing operations.
• Oversee raw material inspections, heat logs, NDT, and quality control of finished steel products.
• Administer quality compliance plans and supplier non-conformance protocols, ensuring products meet technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, AWS, JIS, ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Lead training and development initiatives for QA engineers and inspectors to strengthen technical expertise.
• Address product defects, conduct RCFA, and promote a culture of operational quality.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and production to develop QA strategies for manufacturing needs.
