Job summary

GYLLMARC INGREDIENTS INC. (branch) is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional to inspect raw and packaging materials, supervise in-process materials, and ensure GMP compliance in our Batangas operations.

The role emphasizes HACCP adherence, sanitation, and documentation within a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include sensory evaluation of finished goods, material labeling checks, and coordination with pest control and supplier audits.

Qualifications

• BS Food Technology or related science degree required.
• 1-3 years experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge in HACCP principles and practices.
• Willing to be assigned in Lipa, Batangas.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials for specs and defects.
• Review in-process materials to identify defects and causes.
• Verify worker hygiene before production starts.
• Evaluate material acceptance and recheck finished product.
• Monitor in-line processes to enforce GMP procedures.
• Check machines for cleanliness and readiness.
• Conduct sensory testing of finished goods.
• Ensure sanitation and hygiene in production areas.
• Calibrate production weighing scales for accuracy.
• Inspect finish products' cleanliness before loading.
• Prepare samples for R&D.
• Review delivery vehicles for GMP compliance.
• Prepare sacks and check product labeling.
• Coordinate pest control activities with third-party provider.
• Monitor production areas for GMP compliance.
• Assist investigations of quality issues.
• Participate in supplier audits.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment.
• Maintain quality records and reports.
• Perform other related tasks.

Job description

• Inspects raw materials and packaging materials upon delivery to ensure that specifications are met and/or free from defective or sub-standard materials before turn over to warehouse

• Inspect in process materials during manufacturing operations to evaluate each process/step and determine reasons for defects.

• Checks worker’s personal hygiene before start of production

• Evaluates materials for tip in for acceptability and reevaluate finished product with tip in

• Monitors in line process to ensure that all workers are observing the correct procedure and not deviating from the process.

• Checks machines and equipment for cleanliness and condition prior to use or every change of product

• Conducts sensory evaluation of finished goods and in process materials to check conformance to specifications.

• Checks if workers are properly observing proper sanitation and hygiene in the production site.

• Checks and calibrates weighing scales of production to ensure that it is accurate and properly working.

• Inspects cleanliness and condition of finished products prior to loading to delivery vehicle

• Prepares samples and materials for R&D use.

• Inspects delivery vehicle and delivery personnel for GMP compliance prior to receiving of incoming materials or dispatch of delivery

• Prepares polypropylene sack for production use and checks if products are properly coded and labeled as required.

• Reviews daily pest control monitoring and coordinates with the third party pest control provider for the weekly roving and monthly treatment of pests

• Monitors production areas to ensure compliance with established GMP policies and food safety programs.

• Participates in investigations of quality related issues both internally and externally (product complaints)

• Participates in supplier audits

• Maintains cleanliness of the laboratory and laboratory equipment.

• Records and maintains assigned quality related documentation forms and reports.

• Performs other related tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of BS Food Technology or any science related courses

• With 1-3 years experience in food manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge in HACCP principles and practices

• Willing to be assigned in Lipa, Batangas
