Aboitiz Construction, Inc. is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer for critical shutdown projects. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and is licensed/registered, with hands-on experience in power plant, industrial, piping, or maintenance shutdowns.
You will read mechanical and piping drawings, plan turnaround activities, ensure QA/QC, and uphold OH&S standards. On-site, you must stay coordinated under pressure, manage documentation, and adapt to extended shifts to meet tight
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Preferably a licensed/registered Mechanical Engineer.
Experience in power plant, industrial, piping, mechanical maintenance, or shutdown projects is preferred.
Knowledge of piping systems, pipe replacement, mechanical equipment, and maintenance activities.
Familiarity with NDT methods and inspection requirements for piping systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Knowledge of shutdown/turnaround maintenance planning and scheduling is an advantage.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and mechanical inspection requirements.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements in industrial or power plant environments.
Good coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shutdown schedules.
Willing to work on-site and during extended/shifting hours as required by the shutdown schedule.
