RLG Electro Mechanical Trading Corp in Laguna (Calamba) seeks an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to oversee quality management, inspection, and compliance of M&E installations across our construction projects. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to oversee the quality management, inspection, and compliance of M&E installations across our construction and engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical and mechanical systems comply with project specifications, local codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection: Conduct regular quality inspections of ongoing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, power distribution, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
Testing & Commissioning: Witness and document non-destructive testing (NDT), hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, megger testing, load testing, and system commissioning.
Documentation & Compliance: Review, verify, and archive Project Quality Plans (PQP), Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Material Submittals, and Mill Test Certificates (MTC).
Non-Conformance Management: Issue and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure complete resolution.
Client & Contractor Liaison: Coordinate with project managers, consultants, field engineers, and sub-contractors during site audits and joint walkthroughs.
Turnover & As-Built Verification: Prepare and organize QA/QC turnover documentation, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and as-built drawings prior to project hand-over.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Licensed/Registered Engineer preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of QA/QC site experience specializing in M&E scope within commercial, industrial, or residential building construction.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes, national electrical codes, MEP standards, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and safety protocols.
Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP blueprints, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination.
