Job summary

Based on Scientia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure accuracy and quality across all installation activities. The role involves inspecting plans, reflecting layouts on site, and maintaining quality control through documentation and testing.

You will work to meet client standards and support subsequent audits. The incumbent will prepare inspection reports, monitor As Built drawings, and communicate quality bulletins to prevent repeat punch lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Sanitary) is required.
• Strong communication and reading of construction drawings are essential.
• Good time management and organizational skills are needed.

Overview

Ensures the correctness, accuracy and consistency of the lines, symbols and line tagging used to avoid confusions and make installation activities easier for the operations team and quality checking easier for the assigned QAQC Engineer. Internally and officially inspects, tests and ensures that scopes of works meet quality and client standards.

Responsibilities

• Check and ensure that approved plans are available and usable.
• Reflect plumbing and sanitary, fire protection and mechanical plans to actual site locations based on established references to serve as a guide for installation.
• Ensure the correctness, accuracy and consistency of the lines, symbols and line tagging used to avoid confusion and make installation activities easier for the operations team and quality checking easier for the assigned QAQC Engineer.
• Check and ensure that approved materials are available and usable.
• Check and ensure that installed works meet quality and client standards.
• Prepare inspection documents, schedule inspections (internal and with the client), conduct official inspections and testing, document inspections and testing, and maintain reports that will provide clarity in the status of the project.
• Ensure As Built Drawings are correct and accurate.
• Prepare, monitor and update business and technical correspondence such as but are not limited to Quality Bulletins to ensure that quality is assured and controlled.
• Report and analyze all encountered punchlists and sub-standard work quality during official site inspections and testing to prevent them from happening in the future.
• Participate in internal and external site audits and other tasks that may be related to Line and Grade, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Sanitary)
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Must have good time management and organizational skills
