Job summary

Cleanvironment Waste Management Services Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure construction activities comply with project specs, standards, and regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on pipe-laying works and related civil/mechanical activities, with hands-on inspection and documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree, PRC license preferred, and at least five years in construction with pipe-laying experience.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant construction experience, with at least five years in pipe-laying works.
• Licensed Engineer (PRC license preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA/QC reporting tools.
• Willing to work on-site at project locations in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and workmanship.
• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.
• Supervise pipe-laying works, including alignment, jointing, bedding, and backfilling.
• Prepare ITPs, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors regarding quality issues.
• Issue NCRs and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, and documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality matters.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits when required.

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring, inspecting, and documenting construction processes, with a strong focus on pipe-laying works and related civil/mechanical activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and workmanship.
• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Supervise and inspect pipe-laying works, including alignment, jointing, bedding, and backfilling.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant Philippine codes and international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors regarding quality issues.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, and documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality-related matters.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Licensed Engineer (PRC license preferred).
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in construction, with at least 5 years specifically in pipe-laying works (e.g., waterline, sewer, drainage, or oil & gas pipelines).
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Familiarity with construction codes and standards applicable in the Philippines.
• Experience in inspection, testing, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA/QC reporting tools.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site and be assigned to project locations.
• Training or certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001 awareness or internal auditor).
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or pipeline projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
