Job summary

Scientia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure the correctness and consistency of lines, symbols, and tagging on construction drawings and site installations.

You will inspect plans, prepare inspection documents, schedule tests with clients, and maintain reports to support quality control and client standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Sanitary).
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Must have good time management and organizational skills.
• Must be conscientious about commitments and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Checks and ensures that approved plans are available and usable.
• Reflects plumbing and sanitary, fire protection and mechanical plans to actual site locations based on references.
• Ensures the correctness, accuracy and consistency of lines, symbols and line tagging for clarity.
• Checks and ensures that approved materials are available and usable.
• Checks and ensures that installed works meet quality and client standards.
• Prepares inspection documents, schedules inspections with the client, conducts inspections and tests, and maintains reports.
• Ensures As Built Drawings are correct and accurate.
• Prepares and updates quality correspondence such as Quality Bulletins to assure quality control.
• Reports punchlists and sub-standard work to prevent recurrence.
• Participates in internal and external site audits related to QA/QC.

Ensures the correctness, accuracy and consistency of the lines, symbols and line tagging used to avoid confusions and make installation activities easier for the operations team and quality checking easier for the assigned QAQC Engineer. Internally and officially inspects, tests and

ensures that scopes of works meet quality and client standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Checks and ensures that approved plans are available and usable.
• Reflects plumbing and sanitary, fire protection and mechanical plans to actual site locations based on established and agreed references to serve as a guide for installation.
• Ensures the correctness, accuracy and consistency of the lines, symbols and line tagging used to avoid confusion and make installation activities easier for the operations team and quality checking easier for the assigned QAQC Engineer.
• Checks and ensures that approved materials are available and usable.
• Checks and ensures that installed works meet quality and client standards.
• Prepares inspection documents, schedules inspections (internal and with the client), conducts official inspections and testings, documents inspections and testings, and maintains reports that will provide clarity in the status of the project.
• Ensures As Built Drawings are correct and accurate.
• Prepares, monitors and updates business and technical correspondence such as but are not limited to Quality Bulletins to ensure that quality is assured and controlled.
• Reports and analyses all encountered punchlists and sub-standard work quality during official site inspections and testings to prevent them from happening in the future.
• Participates in internal and external site audits and other tasks that may be related to Line and Grade, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
