Job summary

Interphil Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform tests on raw and processed materials following SOPs and GMP practices.

The role supports quality control by preparing standard solutions and maintaining equipment. Open to fresh graduates with a BS in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or Industrial Pharmacy and who have passed or are willing to take the Government Licensure Examination.

• BS Chemistry or Chemical Technology, or related BS, preferably passed Licensure Exam.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily work based on priorities set by the Section Manager or Materials Quality Control Manager.
• Test raw materials, processed materials and samples per SOPs and GMP guidelines.
• Submit fully accomplished analytical reports on tested materials.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the workspace.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Routine or Daily Activities

1. 1. Plans work depending on priorities set by the Section Manager and/or Materials Quality Control Manager.
2. 2. Performs tests of raw materials, processed materials and source samples based on control procedures provided by clients, good laboratory practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the laboratory.
3. 3. Submits fully accomplished analytical reports on the raw materials tested.
4. 4. Reports immediately any unusual observations and/or out-of-specification results to Forelady and/or Section Manager. Discusses possible cause of these results with the Manager.
5. 5. Updates and submits daily status report to Forelady.
6. 6. Expedites release of oldest samples.
7. 7. Keeps orderliness and cleanliness of work place.

B. Periodic Duties

1. 1. Prepares and standardizes volumetric solutions as well as test solutions.
2. 2. Checks the performance and calibration of instrument assigned. Submits calibration report to the Section Manager.
3. 3. Requests glassware and reagents when needed.
4. 4. Recommends requisition of reference standards, purchase of reagents, glassware and equipment accessories.
5. 5. Assists the QC Technician in the upkeep and retention of all tested samples.

C. Occasional Duties

1. 1. Assists in the preparation of SOP for new equipment.
2. 2. Performs other assignments, which may be required from time to time.

Education:

College Education with BS Chemistry or Chemical Technology, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Pharmacy/BS Industrial Pharmacy preferably passed the Government Licensure Examination.
