Job summary

ARB Laboratories Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Chemist to conduct laboratory testing, analysis, and evaluation of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.

The role supports the Quality Control function by maintaining accurate test results, laboratory records, and proper handling of samples and laboratory equipment, while coordinating with QA and other departments on testing and quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with GLP and laboratory safety procedures.
• Knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory procedures.
• Experience in quality control testing or manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products based on procedures and specifications.
• Perform sampling, preparation, testing, and analysis of laboratory samples.
• Review and document test results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain proper laboratory records, worksheets, and testing reports.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly operated, maintained, and calibrated.
• Prepare and handle reagents, solutions, and chemicals per procedures and safety rules.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples and chemical materials.
• Assist in development and improvement of laboratory testing procedures and methods.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and other departments regarding testing and quality concerns.

About the role

The Chemist is responsible for conducting laboratory testing, analysis, and evaluation of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications. Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products based on established procedures and specifications

• Perform sampling, preparation, testing, and analysis of laboratory samples

• Review and document test results accurately and promptly.

• Maintain proper laboratory records, worksheets, and testing reports

• Ensure that laboratory equipment and instruments are properly operated, maintained, and calibrated as required

• Prepare and handle laboratory reagents, solutions, and chemicals in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements

• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples and chemical materials

• Assist in the development, review, and improvement of laboratory testing procedures and methods

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, and other relevant departments regarding laboratory testing and quality concerns

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field.

• Preferably a Registered Chemist.

• Experience in laboratory testing, quality control, or manufacturing is an advantage

• Knowledge of chemical analysis, laboratory procedures, and quality control testing

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments

• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures

• Willing to work in a fixed schedule from Mondays to Saturdays. 8am-5pm

• Work Location: Matandang Balara, Quezon City.
