Job summary

Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure materials, fabrication processes, inspections, testing, and documentation meet project specs and client requirements.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality steel walkway components through robust quality control, documentation, and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and the client. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in QA/QC for steel fabrication, construction, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and fabricated components.
• Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and other quality records.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and material traceability records.
• Coordinate quality inspections with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, suppliers, and the client.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or workmanship and monitor corrective actions.
• Support client inspections, FAT, and project turnover documentation.
• Verify that products meet quality requirements prior to shipment and delivery.
• Promote continuous improvement in quality processes and ensure compliance with company and project procedures.

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, fabrication processes, inspections, testing, and documentation comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements. The role supports the successful delivery of high-quality steel walkway components through effective quality control, documentation, and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and fabricated components

• Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and other quality records

• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards

• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and material traceability records

• Coordinate quality inspections with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, suppliers, and the client

• Support client inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and project turnover documentation

• Verify that products meet quality requirements prior to shipment and delivery

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

• Experience in QA/QC for structural steel fabrication, construction, or infrastructure projects

• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding inspection, dimensional inspection, and material testing

• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AWS D1.1, ASTM, and AISC is an advantage

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Fresh graduates welcome; candidates with relevant internship or on-the-job training (OJT) experience in QA/QC, construction, or steel fabrication are encouraged to apply
