Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a QA/QC professional to oversee quality assurance and quality control for structural steel fabrication and erection projects in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, Philippines. You will ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• QA/QC activities for structural steel fabrication and erection per drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC activities for structural steel fabrication and erection in accordance with drawings, project specs, codes, ITPs, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors for inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Verify welding qualifications, WPS/PQR, NDT, bolt torque checks, alignment, and erection tolerances; manage NCRs and punch lists.
• Maintain inspection and test records, test certificates, and handover documentation; monitor quality performance and drive corrective actions.

Job Description

esponsible for implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for structural steel fabrication and erection works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and client requirements. Conduct inspections for material receiving, traceability, fabrication, fit-up, welding, dimensional checks, surface preparation, painting/coating, bolting, and steel erection activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.

Coordinate with fabrication teams, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors for inspections, testing, and documentation. Verify welding qualifications, WPS/PQR compliance, NDT activities, bolt torque/tension checks, alignment, plumbness, and erection tolerances. Manage NCRs, corrective actions, quality audits, punch lists, and closure of inspection observations.

Maintain material traceability records, inspection reports, test certificates, NDT reports, coating records, and handover documentation. Monitor quality performance, identify non-conformities, minimize rework, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety requirements during inspections and site activities.
