About the role

Sateco Philippines Inc is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join our quality assurance and control team in Mabalacat City, Pampanga. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining our commitment to excellence and ensuring all products and processes meet rigorous quality standards. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be instrumental in safeguarding product quality, enhancing operational efficiency, and upholding our reputation in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and company performance across all our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive quality inspections and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects and deviations from specifications
• Developing, implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, standards and documentation systems
• Performing statistical analysis and tracking quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborating with production teams to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Conducting supplier quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards
• Preparing detailed quality reports and presenting findings to management and relevant stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards and best practices within the manufacturing and logistics environment
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen projects to optimise processes and reduce waste
• Training and mentoring production staff on quality procedures and best practices
• Utilising quality assurance tools and software systems to monitor, record and analyse quality data

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2-3 years' professional experience in quality assurance, quality control or a related field within manufacturing or logistics sectors
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing principles
• Proficiency with quality control tools and statistical analysis methods including SPC, design of experiments and root cause analysis
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and familiarity with relevant quality software platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and present technical information clearly
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing sector is advantageous
• Certification in quality management (such as ISO 9001, IATF) is preferred
