Job summary

DATEM INC. is seeking a QA/QC Architect in Metro Manila to maintain and implement the quality control program for architectural works.

The role involves monitoring construction activities, ensuring deviations are corrected, and supporting documentation and quality record management. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with 1–2 years in construction QA/QC and experience with ITPs, quality standards, and material testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Professional license is an advantage.
• 1–2 years in construction industry experience, preferably QA/QC.
• Infrastructure project experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of quality control standards.
• Knowledge of material testing requirements and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and technical specifications.
• Assist in preparing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and QA/QC deliverables.
• Conduct monitoring inspections of construction activities.
• Inspect delivered permanent materials.
• Check formworks conditions and material storage quality.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with the Project Quality Plan.
• Track rectification and closure of punch list items.
• Coordinate joint inspections with client representatives.
• Develop work method statements with the Operations Team.
• Prepare Internal QA/QC reports and monitor corrective actions.
• Call for client inspections upon internal verification.
• Perform daily quality assurance and quality control inspections.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation such as IR, IWR, CPR, Handover, Punchlist, and Closeout records.
• Issue Non-Conformance Notices and report quality issues.
• Witness material and product testing.
• Inspect precision tools, parts, and equipment.
• Manage QA/QC document filing, turnover, and archiving.
• Escalate major quality issues to superiors.
