Job summary

Coherent Corp. is hiring a Quality Inspector in Laguna, Philippines. The role focuses on ensuring raw materials to finished goods meet defined quality and safety standards. You will approve materials, perform tests, and maintain inspection logs, with an emphasis on timely defect reporting and process improvement.

The position is 100% onsite with a shift schedule, requiring 1+ year of relevant QA experience and a strong eye for detail and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials and finished products meet quality and safety standards per documentation.
• Approve outgoing materials; perform visual and measurement tests; reject unacceptable materials.
• Approve in-process production; perform tests; conduct in-process audits; notify adjustments to relevant teams.
• Approve finished products by verifying specs; conduct tests; ensure materials meet customer requirements.
• Maintain and publish an inspection log; detail defects and rejections; alert management to quality problems.
• Collect and consolidate all reject units; document in Quality Database; safekeep rejects.
• Report non-conforming material/product and hold production for high failure rates.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that everything from raw materials to finished products meets quality and safety standards specified in the documentations.
• Approves outgoing materials that conforms to specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production that conforms to the specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; performs in-process audit; communicating required adjustments to Process/ Maintenance Engineering.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and ensuring that all materials are meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Maintaining and publishing an inspection log, detailing findings of types of defects and number of parts rejected; alerting management to quality problems.
• Collects and consolidates all the reject units produced by production process on a defined frequency. Document in the Quality Database and safekeep all reject units from the production area.
• Report Any non-conforming material/Product and hold production for any high failure rate due to quality

Education & Experience

• its equivalents with at least1 years of relevant work experience in process Quality Inspector (functional skills)
