Job summary

Coherent Corp. Philippines seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure materials and finished products meet quality and safety standards, performing visual and measurement tests and recording defects.

The role is 100% onsite in Calamba, with a shifting schedule and a structured quality assurance program that supports continuous improvement and reliable product delivery.

Qualifications

• Equivalents with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in process quality inspection.
• Familiarity with quality systems and documentation.
• Adherence to ICARE values and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures materials and finished products meet quality and safety standards; performs tests and approves conformity.
• Approves outgoing materials, conducts visual and measurement tests, rejects unacceptable items.
• Audits in-process production and communicates adjustments to Engineering.
• Confirms finished product specifications; tests and ensures customer requirements.
• Maintains and publishes an inspection log; alerts management to quality issues.
• Consolidates reject units, documents in Quality Database, safekeeps rejects.
• Reports non-conforming material/product and holds production for high failure rates.

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that everything from raw materials to finished products meets quality and safety standards specified in the documentations.

• Approves outgoing materials that conforms to specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

• Approves in-process production that conforms to the specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; performs in-process audit; communicating required adjustments to Process/ Maintenance Engineering.

• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and ensuring that all materials are meets or exceeds customer requirements.

• Maintaining and publishing an inspection log, detailing findings of types of defects and number of parts rejected; alerting management to quality problems.

• Collects and consolidates all the reject units produced by production process on a defined frequency. Document in the Quality Database and safekeep all reject units from the production area.

• Report Any non-conforming material/Product and hold production for any high failure rate due to quality

Education & Experience
