Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational/technical graduate in Welding, Fabrication, or Automotive Technology.
• Experience as a Welder, Welding Inspector, or QC Inspector is preferred.
• Knowledge of different welding processes and techniques.
• Ability to identify welding defects and quality issues.
• Able to read basic technical drawings and measurements.
• Detail-oriented with good inspection and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a production/workshop environment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
• NC II in Welding is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work on metal components, structures, trucks, and heavy equipment as required.
• Read and interpret welding drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Inspect welds and fabricated components for defects, cracks, improper alignment, and other quality issues.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of completed welding work.
• Ensure welding work meets required quality standards and specifications.
• Operate welding machines, cutting tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Identify and report defective materials, welds, or components.
• Perform necessary rework or coordinate corrections for defective welding.
• Maintain proper welding procedures and workplace safety standards.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are clean and properly maintained.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality-control records.
• Coordinate with production and other departments regarding quality issues.
• Monitor compliance with company quality and safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
