Microtop Philippines, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer in Laguna to ensure products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. You will support inspections, review drawings, analyze data, and drive corrective actions.
The role involves coordinating with Production, Engineering, NPI, and Mold teams, supporting NPI activities, and ensuring traceability of quality records. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards, customer requirements, specifications, and applicable quality management system procedures. The position supports quality improvement, problem-solving, inspection activities, NPI projects, and the prevention of quality-related issues.
Monitor and ensure compliance of manufacturing processes and products with established quality standards and customer specifications.
Conduct and support product and process inspections, including dimensional and visual inspections.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, control plans, and other quality-related documents.
Analyze quality data, inspection results, defects, rejects, and customer complaints to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), 8D, and other problem-solving activities.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, NPI, Mold, and other departments in resolving quality issues.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, trial runs, first article inspection, and product validation.
Assist in establishing and reviewing quality standards, inspection methods, and control procedures.
Monitor process performance and recommend actions to prevent defects and improve product quality.
Investigate internal and customer-related quality concerns and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Prepare quality reports, inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and other QA documentation.
Assist in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with ISO/QMS requirements.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented corrective and preventive actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rejects, rework, and customer complaints.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field.
With experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in Plastic Injection, Mold Fabrication, or precision manufacturing is an advantage.
Knowledge of ISO 9001/QMS, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and quality improvement tools.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
Knowledge of GD&T and basic statistical quality tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of inspection and measuring instruments is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
