Job summary

VAST LIGHTING CORP in Cavite seeks a QA/QC Associate to support daily quality assurance operations in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, enforcing processes, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

You will monitor inspections, mentor inspectors, record findings, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. The position requires 2–3 years of QA/QC experience and a related degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in quality inspection, process control, and defect ID.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, documentation, 5S, CAPA.
• Leadership and supervisory Skills; good communication.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

• Assist the QA Supervisor in managing daily Quality Assurance operations.
• Monitor and ensure that products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in supervising QA/QC inspectors and assigning daily tasks.
• Conduct and monitor product inspections and quality checks during production.
• Review inspection results and assist in identifying quality issues and defects.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments regarding quality concerns.
• Assist in investigating the root cause of product defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of inspection reports, quality records, and other QA documents.
• Monitor compliance with company procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Assist in internal audits, customer audits, and other quality-related activities.
• Monitor proper handling and disposition of rejected or non-conforming products.
• Assist in training and guiding QA/QC personnel on quality procedures and standards.
• Report quality issues and significant findings to the QA Supervisor.
• Perform other duties related to Quality Assurance as assigned by Management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• With 2–3 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a manufacturing company.
• With experience in quality inspection, process control, and defect identification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality standards, and documentation is an advantage.
• Familiar with 5S, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• With good leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail-oriented and able to identify quality problems accurately.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
