Job summary

Homni (Phils) Electronics Corporation, based in the Philippines, is seeking a Purchasing Staff to join our procurement team at our Lipa City Batangas facility. You will process purchase orders, identify suppliers, and coordinate with production to forecast needs while maintaining compliant purchasing records and strong vendor

Qualifications

• College graduate in logistics, supply chain, or related field with a preference for business administration.
• 2–4 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory management experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and MS Office applications (Excel/Word).
• Strong negotiation and vendor-relationship skills with clear communication.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail to manage multiple POs and deadlines.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices in procurement.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and logistics.
• Problem-solving ability and capacity to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cost analysis and budget management is advantageous.

About the role

Homni (Phils) Electronics Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Staff to join our procurement team at our Lipa City Batangas facility. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations through effective procurement and inventory management. As Purchasing Staff, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of materials, components, and supplies essential to our production processes. This position is integral to maintaining efficient supply chain operations and ensuring cost-effectiveness across our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase orders and managing vendor communications to ensure timely delivery of materials and components

• Conducting market research and supplier identification to source quality materials at competitive prices

• Negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimise costs and maintain service levels

• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with production teams to forecast purchasing requirements

• Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes

• Resolving supply chain issues, including managing discrepancies, returns, and supplier performance concerns

• Liaising with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and specifications

• Supporting the development and maintenance of supplier relationships to ensure reliability and consistency

• Participating in cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements within the procurement function

What we're looking for

• College graduate, qualification in logistics, supply chain, or related field; a bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline is preferred

• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive vendor relationships

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple purchase orders and deadlines

• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices in procurement

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and logistics

• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
