About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team at Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems Corporation in Hermosa, Bataan. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our full-time, on-site operations, overseeing the procurement of materials and services to support our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and source the most suitable suppliers
• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders to secure the best possible pricing, quality, and delivery terms
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, resolve any issues, and maintain strong relationships
• Analyse purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing industry, and a civil engineering graduate
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to drive cost savings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting using tools like Excel and ERP systems
• Knowledge of purchasing best practices, inventory management, and supply chain logistics
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as supply chain, logistics, or business
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
