Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead indirect spend sourcing across Asia Pacific. The role focuses on supplier selection, cost reduction, and performance oversight to support multiple business groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• With 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or purchasing, preferably in electronics or high‑tech manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in developing and executing categories and commodity strategies, including spend analysis and supplier contract management.
• Strong track record in strategic supplier relationship management, performance oversight (quality, delivery, cost), and issue or crisis resolution.
• Demonstrated people management capability, mentoring, developing, and leading teams of buyers.
• Proficient in SAP and/or Ariba, with solid MS Office skills and the ability to respond decisively to dynamic business requirements.
• Willing to be assigned to a full‑time, onsite position at Rosario, Cavite site.

Responsibilities

• Establishes procurement division with Asia Pacific multiple sites for indirect spends covering a wide range of categories (equipment, facility, IT, MRO, professional services and Capex items).
• Proactively manage projects and perform purchasing tenders and supplier selection.
• Responsible for cost reduction and supplier performance.
• Provides management support for business and strategic procurement activities.
• Develops cost effective sources of supply that support AE’s growth strategies.
• Evaluates price trends, new products, and manufacturing processes that improve overall commodity team performance. Overall responsibilities for price negotiations and all pricing decisions.
• Develops and administers supplier contracts for managing costs, schedules, performance factors, service levels, supplier liability limits, and continuity of supply.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, employee development and team building.
• Take action to ensure continuous improvement of the Purchasing team’s productivity and effectiveness through adequate training of personnel.
• Develop policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
