About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficient procurement and movement of goods and materials throughout our organisation. As a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, coordinating procurement activities, and optimising our supply chain operations. This position offers the strategic importance of keeping our operations running smoothly whilst maintaining cost-effectiveness and delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase orders and managing vendor communications to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services
• Coordinating with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Managing inventory levels and preparing purchasing forecasts based on departmental requirements
• Monitoring shipments and logistics activities to ensure compliance with delivery schedules
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Liaising between internal departments and external logistics providers to resolve supply chain issues
• Analysing purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
• Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of purchasing systems and processes

What we’re looking for

• Completed secondary education; a qualification in accounting, business administration, supply chain management, or related field is advantageous
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk, Accounts Officer, or similar role within a procurement or accounting department
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting or purchasing software systems
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Solid understanding of purchasing principles, supplier management, and inventory control procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial and purchasing documentation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
• Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations is preferred
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a team-oriented approach
