The Qualifications We Seek

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in multifamily property management
• Combination of education, training, and experience in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and property management software, such as Yardi, PayScan, MRI, or OneSite, including working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Capacity to process a high volume of transactional entries

Physical Requirements

• Regular use of hands to handle, type, or feel, with the ability to speak and hear
• Frequent sitting, with occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
• Visual capabilities including close, distance, and color vision

Your Daily Tasks

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for lenders and owners
• Monitor monthly accruals, including preparation and adjustments when necessary
• Review budget-to-actual variances and record journal entries to correct account discrepancies
• Record and reconcile balance sheet activity
• Maintain the fixed asset system and post monthly journal entries for depreciation and amortization
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Track cash balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations and update relevant personnel as needed
• Ensure lender payments, property taxes, and other taxes are recorded accurately and processed on time
• Approve assigned property invoices following review
• Respond to requests from owners, business leaders, operations team members, and other stakeholders regarding financial reports, statements, and related items
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement tools or procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Complete other tasks assigned by authorized personnel
