- Education:
- 1.). Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Geology, Geodetic Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1.). At least 1 year of relevant experience in field surveys, geospatial data handling, or statistical analysis.
- 2.). Fieldwork experience in geoscience or disaster risk-related projects is an advantage.
- Training:
- 1.). Proficiency in using GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) for data visualization and spatial analysis.
- 2.). Basic knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SPSS) for data interpretation.
- 3.). Familiarity with geophysical and geotechnical survey techniques and equipment is an advantage.
- 4.). Strong understanding of basic research principles and methods in geoscience or applied statistics.
- 5.). Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- 6.). Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- 7.). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 8.). Willingness and physical fitness to perform fieldwork, sometimes in challenging environments.

Brief description of the General Functions of the position:
- Conduct field surveys and data collection for earthquake induced landslide EIL hazard assessments, including geomorphological, geotechnical, and seismic data.
- Assist in creating and updating geospatial datasets, including landslide inventories and hazard maps.
- Support the preparation and analysis of statistical models for hazard mapping and disaster risk assessments.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate field data into GIS-based and machine learning workflows.
- Perform basic geospatial and numerical analysis, contributing to hazard model validations.
- Maintain and operate survey equipment and instruments, ensuring accurate data collection during fieldwork.
- Assist in organizing and analyzing field and survey data to derive meaningful insights for the project.
- Support in preparing technical reports, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders and project documentation.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops and capacity-building sessions.
